what to do for smoke smell from air purifier we bought second hand?
We bought a “slightly used” 1700 Honeywell air purifier for my allergies, but apparently when my husband went to fetch the couple was very smoke. So even if they havent ‘used it in these two years ago, shortly after her to a place where they did not need a “machine have been moved to be filled with smoke. Anyway, after we ran it started to smell cigarette blow. My husband washed the carbon pre-filter and we intend to vacuum the filter stack. But the smell seems out of the engine part where he does not come to the breath. There is no way we can clean that part. What are we supposed to do? If the smell of smoke after runing to stay for a while or go on like this eternity. Is this smell also means it contains all the carcinogens from smoking (passive smoking third) combined. I am very disappinted. Suggestions?
